Who We Are
Nira Mental Health is intentionally small and independent, not part of a large healthcare machine. We believe psychiatric care works best when it is personal and responsive.
We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment without the pressure of high patient volume or long, impersonal waitlists. Visits are unrushed, communication is direct, and follow-up is consistent.
Our goal is to build lasting, thoughtful relationships while providing dependable care within our community.

Matt’s background in acute care and cardiology brings a broader medical lens to psychiatric treatment. Many adults, particularly older adults, manage complex health conditions, and psychiatric medications can meaningfully interact with other therapies.
With dual board certification, Matt evaluates each treatment within the context of a patient’s full medical picture. His approach to medication is deliberate and measured, prioritizing meaningful benefit over excess and ensuring time for education and thoughtful discussion.

No. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners have different training pathways, but both are qualified to diagnose and treat mental health conditions. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapeutic support.
My additional certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care allows me to thoughtfully integrate psychiatric care with complex medical treatment when needed.
